The Black Rock ANPR processor is a dedicated hardware platform for Automatic Numberplate Recognition and general image processing. Black Rock replaces traditionally used in car or road side computers used to process video streams. It has been developed with ease of installation in mind and can be deployed in a vehicle or fixed scenarios in a minimal timeframe.
The Black Rock incorporates all necessary hardware and works with Digital Recognition Systems' iSharp ANPR camera in a plug-and-play fashion providing a quick and easy to install solution for any ANPR environment.
The Black Rock supports the NumberWorks ANPR Engine and other applications. It also benefits from being open platform to run other 3rd party applications. Images and data can be transmitted via TCP/IP over a network connection or inbuilt 3G/GPRS modem or displayed on a touch screen monitor. The Black Rock can also buffer up to 32GB of data and images internally in case of network loss.
The Black Rock has been developed using the latest technology and delivers an “all in one” solution which can process ANPR imagery with high accuracy that can be used in any environment.
Cabling and Installation
The Black Rock has been designed to facilitate an ease of installation ethos, utilitising a simple Cat5e cable for all of the video, power and communications. Due to this the, Black Rock is able as standard, to work with cable lengths of up to 100m with power, video and communication. Just plug your cameras in and Black Rock contains all the hardware necessary to drive up to three iSharp cameras.
Therefore the Black Rock will fit into any existing network infrastructure by using the standard Ethernet cable.
